It works as a single-window recruitment process where similar posts are grouped together so candidates can apply under relevant post groups.

The Examination Section of AIIMS New Delhi conducts the CBT and related examination process. However, AIIMS New Delhi does not make the final appointment for all institutes. The participating institute is responsible for recruitment rules, service conditions, document verification, joining, and final appointment.

This means a candidate may be eligible for one post within a group but not for every post in the same group. Applicants must check the qualification, age limit, experience, pay level, reservation, and institute-specific conditions before choosing a group.

SC, ST, and OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies are not eligible for category-based relaxation in age or qualifying marks.

The fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking. The application fee is generally non-refundable. However, SC and ST candidates who appear in the examination will receive a refund to the source account after declaration of results.

Some post groups require a skill test after the CBT. The final selection depends on CBT performance, but candidates must qualify the skill test wherever it is required for the post.

If a candidate qualifies the CBT but fails the skill test, the candidate may remain eligible only for posts within the same group that do not require that skill test, subject to official rules.
